VARADHI THATAT
Preparation time : 15 mins
Cooking time : 30 mins
Serving : 2 persons
INGREDIENTS:
Rice 2 cups
Potatoes 1 no
Onion 1 no
Cauliflower few florets
Peas 1/2 cup
Ginger-Garlic paste 1/2 tsp
Green chillis 2 nos
Garam masala 1 tsp
Jeera 1/2 tsp
Tez patta 2-3 nos
Black pepper 2-3 nos
Dalchinni 1 no
Coconut Grated
Oil 3 tbsp
Salt to taste
Corriender leaves for garnish
METHOD:
1. Chop all the ingredients.
2. Heat oil in pan.
3. Add ginger -garlic paste, all masalas.
4. Add all vegetables, mix well.
5. Add rice . Saute for 5 mins.
6. Add water & allow the rice to cook.
7. Add salt.
8. Garnish with coconut and corriender.
9. Serve hot.
ACCOMPANIMENT TO MASALA BHAT:
CHANDA TAK ( butter milk)
INGREDIENTS:
Dahi (curd) 1 cup
Water 2 cups
Corriender powder a pinch
Salt to taste
Fresh corriender to garnish
METHOD:
1. Add water to curd in a bowl.
2. Add salt and corriender powder to it.
3. Churn well.
4. Garnish well with corriender leaves.
5. Serve with masala bhat.
