This dish tastes best with Jeera Rice.

Ingredients :
Red chana (Red Garbanzo) 11/2 cup
Onions 1 no (big size) 2nos (small size)
Tomatoes 3 nos
Ginger/Garlic paste 1 tsp
Corriender leaves few
Red chilli powder 1 tsp
Garam masala 1/2 tsp
Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
Tez patta 1no
Whole black pepper 2-3 nos
Oil 2tbsp
Salt to taste
Water as required
Method :
1. Soak the red chana over night. The next day pressure cook the chana upto 3-4 whistles.
2. Make a fine paste of oinion & ginger/garlic paste. Puree the tomatoes & finely chop the corriender leaves.
3. In a kadhai or pan take oil add jeera, add tez patta & black peppers. Saute.
4. Add ginger/garlic paste & onion paste. Saute until the onions turn light brown.
5. Add all the masalas & tomato paste and saute the masala until oil leaves the sides of the masala.
6. Add the cooked chana, water & salt. Stir well.
7. Cover with a lid & let it cook for sometime.
8. Garnish with corriender leaves & serve hot with jeera rice.
