South Indian Curd Rice

Ingredients :

Basmati Rice                        2 cups

Curd                                   11/2 cup

Peanuts                               few
Dry red chillis                      2-3 nos
Curry leaves                        few
Fresh corriender leaves        few
Spilt urid dal                        2 tsp
Mustard seeds                    1/2 tsp
Hing                                   a pinch
Oil                                      2 tsp ( for tempering )
Salt                                     to taste


Method :

1. Cook the rice & keep aside.
2. In a bowl mix the rice & curd.
3. Take a little oil, add mustard seeds & allow it to crackle.
4. Add hing, dry red chillis, curry leaves, peanuts & urid dal. Saute them till light brown.
5. Add this tempering to the curd rice, add salt, fresh corriender leaves & mix well.
6. Serve imediately or chill for some time.
7. Enjoy!
