Phaldari Kofta

Ingredients :


For Kofta :

Raw Bananas                                         2 nos
Onions                                           1 nos (finely chopped)
Ginger                                            1 tsp ( finely chopped)
Corriender leaves                            finely chopped
Green chillis                                    5 nos ( finely chopped)
White pepper powder                    1/2 tsp
Salt                                                to taste
Ghee                                              for frying koftas

For Gravy :

Tomatoes                                       5 nos ( pureed)
Onion                                             1 no ( paste)
Ginger/garlic paste                          1 tsp

Green cardamon                             8 nos
Cloves                                            5 nos
Cinannamon stick                           1 no
Garam masala                                 to sprinkle
Mace powder                                 1 tsp
Red chilli powder                            11/2 tsp

Honey                                            1 tsp
Cream                                            75 ml
Butter                                             1 tsp
Ghee                                              4 tsp


Method :


For Koftas :

1. Boil bananas for 30 mins. Cool, peel and mash them well.
2. In a bowl mix all the ingredients for kofta and mashed bananas. Mix well.
3. Make a dough and make equal size balls.
4. Deep fry them in ghee till light golden brown & keep aside.

For gravy :

1. In a pan heat ghee, add cloves, crushed green cardamon, cinnamon stick, onion paste & saute.
2. Add ginger garlic paste and saute well.
3. When the onions are well done add red chilli powder, mace powder and  tomatoa puree & mix well.
4. Now add honey and creammix well.
5. Cover with the lid and allow the the gravy to cook well.
6. Sprinkle some garam masala add salt & mix well.
7. In a serving dish place the koftas and pure the gravy. Add till butter on top.
8. Garnish with fresh corriender leaves and some grated paneer.
9. Serve hot with Naan or roti.
