Gobi Manchurian

Gobi Manchurian is and Indo Chinese recipe. Taste yummy quick to fix and enjoyed by all age groups. This dish make a good strater or a snack for evening tea. 


Ingredients :


2 cups medium size Gobi / Cauliflower florets
1/2 cup medium size cubes of capsicum / pepper ( I have used colourfull peppers )
few chopper spring onions for garnishing
1/4 cup of finely chopped onions
2 tsp ginger-garlic paste

1/4 cup corn flour
1 cup maida/all puupose flour

Black pepper powder to taste
Salt to taste

Soya sauce 3tbsp
1 tbsp vinegar
Red chilli sauce to taste
Tomato ketchup to taste
Garlic and chilli sauce to taste 
Add all these sauce to taste at same time they should be enough to coat the machurian.

Method :

1. In a bowl add gobi florets, chopped onions, ginger-garlic paste and black pepper powder. Mix well and keep aside.
2. In a bowl mix maida and corn flour together. Add salt and water and mix well. Make this batter thicker, so that it coats well on the gobi florets. See the below picture for the consistency.
3. To this batter add the cauliflower mix and Mix well so that all the florets are well coated in the batter.
4. Deep fry them, each floret seprately to golden brown. If they stick to each other separate them once slightly cooled after frying.
5. To make the sauce. Heat 1tsp of oil in a pan, add garlic-chilli sauce, soya sauce, red chilli sauce and vinegar. Mix well. Keep the heat low.










6. In a bowl take 1/2 tsp of corn flour add little water and mix well.
7. Add this cornflour mix to the sauce in pan and mix well. This thicken the sauce.
8. Add the fried manchurian and chopped peppers and mix well. Sprinkle little salt and mix.

9. Remove on the serving dish and garnish with spring onions and serve immediately.
