Thalipeeth is a type of savory multi-grain pancake popular in Western India. It is a special Maharashtrian dish. The dough is prepared from a special flour made from roasted Wheat flour, Chana daal and spices coriander, cumin powder, red chilli powder. Onion, fresh coriander and other vegetables and spices are added when kneading the dough. Its simple to make and nutritive too.
Ingredients :
Method :
1. In a large bowl or parat mix all the chopped vegetable, wheat flour, besan and spices together.
2. Add salt and mix well.
3.Using water make a dough. The dough should not be too hard but very soft and little soggy.
4. Heat tava or griddle, season it with some oil.
5. Make a small ball of the dough, place it on the pan & spread it flat with the hands. While spreading or patting the ball wet the hands a little. In this way the dough will not stick to the hands & spreading will be easier.
6. Make 2-3 holes on the thalipeeth and apply little oil.
7. One side of the thalipeeth becomes brown turn the thalipeeth the other side & again apply little oil and cover it.
8. Serve hot with curd or pickle.
9. Enjoy!

- 1 no Onions sliced
- 1 no finely chopped capsicum
- 1/2 cup finely chopped cauliflower
- 1 no grated carrot
- Few finely chopped corriender leaves
- 2 nos finely chopped green chillis
- 1 tsp Garlic paste
- 1 tsp Red chilli powder
- 1/2 tspTurmeric powder
- 2 tspTil
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp corriender powder
- 1/2 tsp ajwain
- Salt to taste
- Oil as required for making thalipeth
