Aap Ki Rasoi Se / From your Kitchen : Bati / Bitya [ special recipe for weight watchers ] : Recipe by Gauri Pimprikar

This recipe is for all the weight watchers and those who do not like ghee in Bati. Bati is also known Bitya in marathi. Its a variation in regular Bati recipe.

Ingredients :

  • 2 cups atta / wheat flour
  • 1/2 tbsp baking soda 
  • 1/2 tbsp salt 
  • 2 tbsp ghee 
  • 1/2 tbsp ajwain / owa 
  • 1/2 cup yogurt / curd 
  • 2 tbsp water 
  • 1 tbsp garlic- ginger paste
  • 2 nos green chilli chopped

Method :

1. Preheat oven to 350 degree F.
2. Mix all ingredients and make a stiff dough.
3. Add 1/2 tbsp. ghee on dough and keep it aside for 10 min. Knead again.
4. Make a small size bati balls  and transfer in to backing tray. Bake for 15 min.
5. Turn and bake for another 10 mins.
6. Once your bati is ready pour some ghee if you like or enjoy hot bati with your favorite daal.
